用用中文吧

好久没用中文写过东西了，练练中文吧。
我想在自己的电脑上装wordpress，最简单的办法莫过于装xampp套件:

• 安装xampp
• 启动apache服务
• 创建mysql数据库
• 启动mysql服务

一切都很正常，比单独安装各个部件貌似容易很多。之后就是wordpress的安装设置了，修改一下wp-config.php，再把wordpress上传应该就搞定。在浏览器里输入wordpress的目录，意想不到的事情发生了：告诉我连不上数据库。想来想去无外乎两种可能：

• wd-config设置有问题
• mysql的数据库有问题

Google了一通，怎么也搞不定。浪费了好几个小时，真是郁闷啊。

Emacs my happiness and my pain

I wasted another few hours on emacs. I tried to get mew to send Chinese mail on emacs cvs 23 but it refused to work. I was driven mad by the silly, trivial problem. I was so mad that I lost control.

Once I met a problem like this, I should calm down and think carefully. If emacs is good, I use it. If not, I don't. I should use emacs to improve my productivity not to reduce.

Omg, go on working on FEM-Beta.

Come back to matlab again

I was always frustrated by python, shells, emacs.
I come back to matlab again. Oh, yeah!

A new toy

I found Org-mode when I was struggling with Muse.
It's a better toy to me. So far so good.

The right way to work

Finally, I found the correct rhythm of working.

I was always thinking that I may work in a wrong, low efficient way. I was afraid of making mistake. As a result, I was hesitating and wandering without making any progress.

Yesterday I saw a sentence from a MSN friend's signature.
" A man who asks is a fool for five minutes, and a man who never asks is a fool for his life. "

So the secret is to think, to do, to think, to do...
Do not hesitate. Do not be afraid of losing face.
A thousand miles is made up with steps.
No one can be perfect from beginning.

Books about structural geology

My major has been changed to structural geology for no reason. I found some good books from the references of several geological papers.

The techniques of modern structural geology by John G. Ramsay and Martin I. Huber.

I went to the library at Science Building 1 for the books and happened to see Koshiba Hall which was built in memory of the Nobel winner. I felt proud of this university all of a sudden and cheered up from the tiredness.

My new blogging tour

I wanted to use emacs muse to blog, but it takes time to build my own blogging system with muse. I will stay here before the muse blog is ready.
